Project He Rau Aroha

About Project He Rau Aroha
He Rau Aroha is a rōpu of Māori consultants, scientists and engineers from across private sector companies. The rōpu is driven by the collective need to give back to our Māori communities. With ever intensifying weather events, our whānau, hapū and iwi are most at risk.
This project has received support from The Engineering New Zealand Foundation; the National Science Challenge: Building Better Homes, Towns and Cities (Māori); and Massey University: School of Built Environment (Resilient Sustainable Built Environment).
This group of Māori professionals bring a wide range of skills and expertise from fields associated with the infrastructure sector and professional services. The group is made up of engineers, climate change experts, planners, kaupapa Māori researchers, mātauranga Māori experts, ecologists, air scientists, water engineers, marine biologists, business development leads, strategists, waste and circular economy experts, marketing and communications personnel, and more.
Project He Rau Aroha is comprised of Māori individuals from the following companies and infrastructure associated groups, whose support they also acknowledge and appreciate:
