Tell us about your career
I’m a senior project manager and team leader with 15 years’ experience across the construction and energy sectors — from oil and gas to water, civil infrastructure, education, and commercial developments. I’ve had the privilege of working with global consultancies like Stantec, WSP, AECOM, and Artelia, leading diverse technical projects and helping clients unlock real business value. I’m also a lifelong learner, holding a master’s in Project Management, an honours degree in Technology Management, and a bachelor degree in Structural Engineering.
What are the consulting and engineering strengths of your region?
Driven by rapid population growth and infrastructure demand, the Bay of Plenty boasts strong capabilities across civil, transport, water, environmental, and structural engineering. A mix of global firms and local consultancies deliver complex, culturally attuned solutions, supported by a skilled and growing workforce. The region’s consulting and engineering sector is well-positioned to support future development with resilient, community-focused infrastructure.
What strengths do you bring to the Regional Champion role?
I thrive on connecting people and creating value. Since moving to Tauranga, I’ve been involved with the Project Management Institute of New Zealand Bay of Plenty branch, building a strong committee and hosting regular events. My day-to-day work involves bringing together professionals from different industries to solve complex challenges — skills I’m excited to bring to ACE. I’m also a big advocate for digital transformation and continuously exploring how tech can elevate our industry.
Tell us something interesting about yourself
Outside of work, you’ll find me outdoors with my family, reading, learning something new (AI is currently the hot topic), or cycling. I also volunteer as a guest lecturer at Auckland University — giving back to the industry is something I truly value.
